![]() DeSantis is Finished as a Presidential Candidate By Cliff Kincaid Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador recently made a reference to “our fellow Mexicans that live in the US.” He is apparently referring to the “territorial dispute” with the United States over who owns the Southwest United States. Mexicans claim that region for themselves. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis should take that into consideration when he refers to the Russian invasion of Ukraine as a “territorial dispute” and warned against the United States getting “further entangled” in it. He made those comments to Tucker Carlson, the pro-Russia host of Fox News. Dr. Alexander Motyl, a professor of political science at Rutgers-Newark, comments, “…DeSantis doesn’t realize that, if his description of the Russo-Ukrainian War as a territorial dispute is correct, then Adolf Hitler’s absorption of Austria and Czechoslovakia and invasion of Poland and the Soviet Union also amount to picayune territorial disputes into which the United States should have refrained from becoming ‘further entangled.’” In regard to Mexico’s designs on the United States, consider the separatist Aztlan movement, based on an Aztec word that is used to describe the Southwestern U.S. states that they hope to take over and restore to Mexico. Conservatives who applaud the statement of DeSantis on Ukraine are sowing the seeds of their own destruction in the United States. “DeSantis is an ignoramus,” commented one American with family and friends in Ukraine. “I can’t understand how this is possible since Florida is filled with people who fled from Communist countries.” He’s right. DeSantis has shot himself in the foot. He is finished as a presidential candidate even before he officially announces. It is a sad turn of events. We had just commended DeSantis for signing legislation establishing a “Victims of Communism” study session for Florida high school students. He touts this program in his new book, The Courage to be Free. But his comments on Ukraine indicate he should go back to school and take the course so that he can better understand what is truly happening in Europe. He needs to realize that Ukraine wants to be free, too. History reveals that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, first in 2014 [under Obama] and then in 2022 [under Biden], is reminiscent of Adolf Hitler’s aggression in 1938 that led to the annexation of German-speaking regions of Czechoslovakia known as the Sudetenland. Using that same playbook, former KGB colonel and Russian President Putin exploits some Russian-speaking people in eastern Ukraine to justify his invasion of that country and reduce it to rubble. He is killing the people he claims to want to save. Meanwhile, one element of the Mexican strategy, adopted by the national Democratic Party, involves deliberately overwhelming the white or European-American vote at the polls. In the next phase of revolution, the “progressive” strategy will entertain the idea that Mexican-rights activists have a right to reclaim most of the Southwest United States as Mexican territory. These are Obrador’s “fellow Mexicans that live in the US.” Then, if the United Nations continues its support for “indigenous peoples,” as some Mexicans in the Southwest U.S. continue to define themselves, we can anticipate the world body joining the effort to dismember the U.S., turning over some states to Mexico and perhaps others to “native Americans.” Following that, Russia will take back Alaska, claiming it was stolen by the gringos. Under the cover of resolving “territorial disputes,” the United States of America will be no more. All of this comes home to roost when referring to a “territorial dispute” involving Ukraine and Russia. This is not a territorial dispute. Putin wants all of Ukraine and then he wants Poland and other nations. He already took part of the former Soviet republic of Georgia in 2008. Friends of Ukraine are disappointed in former President Trump’s recent comments on Ukraine as well. He claims he can “easily” resolve the war. But as Trump pointed out, in his comments to Tucker Carlson: “…for four years [during the Trump presidency] they didn’t attack, nor did they have any intention of doing so as long as I was in charge. But the sad fact is that, due to a new lack of respect for the U.S., caused at least partially by our incompetently handled pullout from Afghanistan, and a very poor choice of words by Biden in explaining U.S. requests and intentions (Biden’s first statement was that Russia could have some of Ukraine, no problem!), the bloody and expensive assault began, and continues to this day.” What Trump said is fact. Biden encouraged the latest Russian invasion and has failed to supply Ukraine the weapons they need to win. It is a war that causes some people to get tired of defending the forces of freedom in Ukraine, especially when our own border is under attack. But when DeSantis, a governor with no foreign policy experience, falls for Russian propaganda about a “territorial dispute,” he is sinking his campaign for the presidency before it begins. Dr. Motyl counters: “Is DeSantis serious? Does he really believe that the issue is a sliver of land? And if it is, why destroy the very land and the very people Putin claims as his?” Here, the destruction of the United States, in terms of being a European-American nation, has been an open objective of liberals and “progressives” for years. President Bill Clinton in 2002 had said he believed “an America without a white majority is a worthy destiny.” Subsequently, President Barack Hussein Obama’s “Brown is the New White” strategy became the practical approach to making Clinton’s vision a reality. Biden’s open borders were the logical conclusion. When former Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers was an instructor at the University of Illinois, one of his courses featured a book titled Pedagogy of the Oppressed as required reading. Author Paulo Freire, a Brazilian Marxist, declared, “This, then, is the great humanistic and historical task of the oppressed: to liberate themselves and their oppressors as well.” Hence, Mexican revolutionaries on American soil see whites as the “oppressors.” On this basis, the Mexican cartels use Chinese chemicals to make fentanyl and poison the gringos. Then they pay Mexican officials to look the other way. Under these circumstances, America has every right to take the war to Mexico itself, in order to destroy the cartels. It’s about time. In the same way, Ukraine has the right to defend itself. The failure of DeSantis to understand this means he is not ready for prime time or the presidency. He must reverse course immediately in order to save his political future.

![]() Anti-Communist Group Urges DeSantis to Expand “Victims of Communism Day” into “Communism Education Week” for Florida Students Contact: Cliff Kincaid, [email protected] The public policy group America’s Survival, Inc. (ASI) is commending Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for passage of “Victims of Communism Day” educational instruction in the state’s high schools but is now encouraging expansion of the material into a full-fledged “Communism Education Week” to benefit all students. “Such a move,” said ASI President Cliff Kincaid, “could serve as a model for other states and the nation.” In a 6700-word letter to Mr. John Duebel, Social Studies Education Specialist at the State of Florida Department of Education, ASI President Cliff Kincaid outlines why the material could be expanded for the benefit of more students, leading to a national renaissance in American educational practices. Kincaid is the author of several books on communism, including Marxist Madrassas: The Hostile Takeover of Higher Education in America. In his new book, The Courage to Be Free, on page 133, DeSantis talks about the legislation he signed that requires that students be taught about the horrors of communist regimes. He says the lessons would contrast “Marxist-Leninist and totalitarian ideology with the American founding principles of freedom and the rule of law.” Kincaid’s letter suggests various films and books, some published by his own organization, to expand the discussion, leading to classroom debates on such topics as international tribunals to hold the communists responsible for crimes such as the invasion of Ukraine and the release of the China virus. Kincaid says the governor’s initiative can help repair the long-term damage done by communist influence in the American educational system. “As a young journalism student, I ‘learned’ from Curtis J. MacDougall’s textbook [Interpretative Reporting] that Walter Duranty of the New York Times was one of the great figures in the media. I later learned the truth -- that Duranty was a stooge of Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin and one of the greatest liars in the history of journalism. In fact, he helped Stalin cover up the deaths of as many as 10 million Ukrainians in a forced famine known as the Holodomor.” ASI obtained MacDougall’s 319-page FBI file, showing his long association with a series of Communist Party front groups. That helped explain his praise of Fidel Castro and fear of Senator Joseph McCarthy’s anti-communist investigations. ASI also obtained the FBI files of several prominent people, including Walter Cronkite, Bella Abzug, and Barack Obama’s mentor, Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis. ASI books include Dr. Paul Kengor’s All The Dupes Fit To Print: Journalists Who Have Served As Tools Of Communist Propaganda; Blood on His Hands: the True Story of Edward Snowden; Red Jihad: Moscow's Final Solution for America and Israel; and Back from the Dead: the Return of the Evil Empire. Cliff Kincaid has personal knowledge of left-wing and communist activities in education. After initially being invited to speak during a campus debate, Kincaid was personally banned from the State University of New York at New Paltz in March of 2016, largely on the basis of attacks on his anti-communist journalism by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Thomas Jurgens, attorney at the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), was among the 23 Antifa “domestic terrorists” recently arrested for allegedly burning down government property and assaulting police in Atlanta. The SPLC confirmed Jurgens’ employment but claimed he was at a protest of a police facility as a “legal observer” with the National Lawyers Guild (NLG). The NLG was cited as a Communist Party front organization by the House Committee on Un-American Activities and is still an affiliate of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers, officially designated a Soviet front during the Cold War. DeSantis and Trump on Ukraine
Tucker Carlson's questions were:
From Tucker Carlson: Florida Governor @RonDeSantisFL answers our Ukraine questionnaire: While the U.S. has many vital national interests – securing our borders, addressing the crisis of readiness within our military, achieving energy security and independence, and checking the economic, cultural, and military power of the Chinese Communist Party – becoming further entangled in a territorial dispute between Ukraine and Russia is not one of them. The Biden administration’s virtual “blank check” funding of this conflict for “as long as it takes,” without any defined objectives or accountability, distracts from our country’s most pressing challenges. Without question, peace should be the objective. The U.S. should not provide assistance that could require the deployment of American troops or enable Ukraine to engage in offensive operations beyond its borders. F-16s and long-range missiles should therefore be off the table. These moves would risk explicitly drawing the United States into the conflict and drawing us closer to a hot war between the world’s two largest nuclear powers. That risk is unacceptable. A policy of “regime change” in Russia (no doubt popular among the DC foreign policy interventionists) would greatly increase the stakes of the conflict, making the use of nuclear weapons more likely. Such a policy would neither stop the death and destruction of the war, nor produce a pro-American, Madisonian constitutionalist in the Kremlin. History indicates that Putin’s successor, in this hypothetical, would likely be even more ruthless. The costs to achieve such a dubious outcome could become astronomical. The Biden administration’s policies have driven Russia into a de facto alliance with China. Because China has not and will not abide by the embargo, Russia has increased its foreign revenues while China benefits from cheaper fuel. Coupled with his intentional depletion of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve and support for the Left’s Green New Deal, Biden has further empowered Russia’s energy-dominated economy and Putin’s war machine at Americans’ expense. Our citizens are also entitled to know how the billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars are being utilized in Ukraine. We cannot prioritize intervention in an escalating foreign war over the defense of our own homeland, especially as tens of thousands of Americans are dying every year from narcotics smuggled across our open border and our weapons arsenals critical for our own security are rapidly being depleted. From Tucker Carlson Former President @realDonaldTrump answers our Ukraine questionnaire: “Like inflation and numerous other self inflicted wounds and mistakes made over the past two years, Russia would definitely not have raided and attacked Ukraine if I was your President. In fact, for four years they didn’t attack, nor did they have any intention of doing so as long as I was in charge. But the sad fact is that, due to a new lack of respect for the U.S., caused at least partially by our incompetently handled pullout from Afghanistan, and a very poor choice of words by Biden in explaining U.S. requests and intentions (Biden’s first statement was that Russia could have some of Ukraine, no problem!), the bloody and expensive assault began, and continues to this day. That is all history, but how does it end, and it must end, NOW! Start by telling Europe that they must pay at least equal to what the U.S. is paying to help Ukraine. They must also pay us, retroactively, the difference. At a staggering 125 Billion Dollars, we are paying 4 to 5 times more, and this fight is far more important for Europe than it is for the U.S. Next, tell Ukraine that there will be little more money coming from us, UNLESS RUSSIA CONTINUES TO PROSECUTE THE WAR. The President must meet with each side, then both sides together, and quickly work out a deal. This can be easily done if conducted by the right President. Both sides are weary and ready to make a deal. The meetings should start immediately, there is no time to spare. The death and destruction MUST END NOW! Properly executed, this terrible and tragic War, a War that never should have started in the first place, will come to a speedy end. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!” Is opposing Russia in Ukraine a vital American national strategic interest? “No, but it is for Europe. But not for the United States. That is why Europe should be paying far more than we are, or equal.” What specifically is our objective in Ukraine, and how will we know when we’ve achieved it? “Our objective in Ukraine is to help and secure Europe, but Europe isn't helping itself. They are relying on the United States to largely do it for them. That is very unfair to us. Especially since Europe takes advantage of us on trade and other things.” What is the limit of funding and materiel you would be willing to send to the government of Ukraine? “That would strongly depend on my meeting with President Putin and Russia. Russia would have never attacked Ukraine if I were President, not even a small chance. Would have never happened if I were President, but it has. I would have to see what the direction in which Russia is headed. I want them to stop, and they will, depending on the one that delivers that message. But with everything said, Europe must pay. The United States has spent much more than Europe, and that is not fair, just, or equitable. If I were President, that horrible war would end in 24 hours, or less. It can be done, and it must be done-- now!” Should the United States support regime change in Russia? “No. We should support regime change in the United States, that's far more important. The Biden administration are the ones who got us into this mess.” Given that Russia’s economy and currency are stronger than before the war, do you believe that U.S. sanctions have been effective? “No, they have not been effective. Just the opposite. They drove Russia, China and Iran into an unthinkable situation.” Do you believe the United States faces the risk of nuclear war with Russia? “It depends on who the President of the United States is. At the moment, with Biden as president, absolutely yes. He says and does all the wrong things at the wrong time.” Comrade Joe Blames Trump for Banking Collapse
By Cliff Kincaid Move over China Joe. Comrade Joe has made his appearance on the national stage, declaring, “That’s how capitalism works,” a reference to the banking “crisis” he created and his people knew was coming. This is what happens when the Biden Administration inflates the currency, the Federal Reserve raises interest rates too fast, and banks like SVB are caught in the middle. By the way, none of this had anything to do with “Trump deregulation” of banks or the “woke” character of one bank. It’s due to a Soviet-style economic policy designed for a federal takeover of a federal banking system of about 1,200 national banks which also threatens the financial survival of regional and community banks that number in the thousands and serve millions of Americans. So-called “conservatives” ranting about a “bailout" of the depositors, who need and deserve their money back, are missing the point. They are mostly small and medium-sized firms and small businesses which put their money in that bank and are creating new products and technologies. One of them, Roku, has pioneered streaming services for new conservative channels that enable people to bypass Fox News. These companies should not be punished for the inflationary policies of Comrade Joe Biden and the destructive interest rate policies of the Fed. Biden’s people clearly saw this crisis coming and failed to act. No more regulation is needed. On March 6, Martin Gruenberg, the Biden-appointed chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), declared, “The current interest rate environment has had dramatic effects on the profitability and risk profile of banks’ funding and investment strategies. First, as a result of the higher interest rates, longer term maturity assets acquired by banks when interest rates were lower are now worth less than their face values. The result is that most banks have some amount of unrealized losses on securities. The total of these unrealized losses, including securities that are available for sale or held to maturity, was about $620 billion at year-end 2022. Unrealized losses on securities have meaningfully reduced the reported equity capital of the banking industry.” The “current interest rate environment” is a reference to higher interest rates in response to inflation. Trump didn’t cause the $620 billion hole in banks’ balance sheets. Gruenberg is a Democrat nominated for that post by Joe Biden and was confirmed by the Senate last December. Why didn’t the feds intervene when they knew trouble was coming? For its part, the Federal Reserve has announced a review of what happened with the SVB, saying, “We need to have humility, and conduct a careful and thorough review of how we supervised and regulated this firm, and what we should learn from this experience.” The term “humility” means that the fingerprints of Biden and the Fed’s Jerome Powell are all over this debacle. And they know it. In addition to claiming “That’s how capitalism works,” Biden on Monday morning tried to blame Trump, saying, “During the Obama-Biden administration, we put in place tough requirements on banks like Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank, including the Dodd-Frank Law, to make sure the crisis we saw in 2008 would not happen again. Unfortunately, the last administration rolled back some of these requirements. I’m going to ask Congress and the banking regulators to strengthen the rules for banks to make it less likely that this kind of bank failure will happen again and to protect American jobs and small businesses.” With this magic trick, Biden hopes we will forget that he nominated the FDIC chairman and that he even went further, proposing Ms. Saule Omarova, a Cornell Law Professor, to be comptroller of the currency, in charge of the national banking system. Born in the former Soviet republic of Kazakhstan, she authored a thesis, “Karl Marx’s Economic Analysis and the Theory of Revolution in The Capital,” which she wrote as a student at Moscow State University on the V.I. Lenin Personal Academic Scholarship. Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) had questioned her membership in a communist organization, with these exchanges: Kennedy: “There was a group called the Young Communists, and you are a member, is that right?” Omarova: “I’m not exactly sure which group you’re referring to.” Kennedy: “Well, the formal name of it is the Leninist Communist Young Union of the Russian Federation, and it’s also known as the Leninist Komsomol of the Russian Federation. And it’s commonly referred to as the Young Communists. Were you a member?”… Kennedy: “Have you resigned?” Omarova: “From the—” Kennedy: “From the Young Communists.” Omarova: “You grow out of it with age automatically.” Kennedy: “Did you send them a letter though, resigning?” Omarova: “Senator, this was many, many years ago. As far as I remember how the Soviet Union worked was at certain age, you automatically stop being -- ” Kennedy: “Could you look at your records and see if you can find a copy?” Described as a specialist in regulation of financial institutions, banking law, international finance, and corporate finance, she favored more power and authority for the Federal Reserve, a source of current economic turmoil, and even proposed a “National Investment Authority” for “public finance” and green energy projects. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) called her nomination “tremendous news,” adding, “She is an excellent choice to oversee and regulate the activities of our nation’s largest banks and I have no doubt she’ll be a fearless champion for consumers.” But Senate Republicans derailed her nomination in part because she refused to turn over a copy of her thesis. Nominees are supposed to submit copies of their writings to the Senate Banking Committee. “While she refused to disclose this thesis throughout her nomination process,” said Tom Jones, Founder of American Accountability Foundation, “it is clear that Omarova’s interest in Marxist policy and analysis did not stop after her academic studies.” AAF said it discovered that Omarova was a part of a Facebook group called “Marxist Analysis and Policy” as recently as 2019. Despite the failure of her nomination, we are now seeing how federal policies of inflation and rising interest rates are producing the same effect – proposed consolidation of the banking sector, leading to MORE federal regulation and, most likely, a new national banking authority to issue a digital currency to make inflation of the money supply even easier. Marx's dictum, “Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly,” may come to pass. The paper, “The National Investment Authority: A Blueprint,” was written by Biden nominee Omarova, now a senior fellow at a "think tank" examining "the future of capitalism." It is a plan to expand federal control over banking. In opposing Omarova, Senator Marco Rubio was blunt, saying she had a “Soviet style” approach to the economy. “She supports communist policies & a communist should not be our Comptroller of the Currency,” he claimed. Omarova denied the charge but withdrew her nomination under fire. Her policies remain and are now being pushed by Comrade Joe. This scandal dwarfs Hunter Biden’s curious art sale and laptop. The fate of capitalism, the greatest economic system the world has ever seen, is at risk. If Comrade Joe succeeds in getting more federal control and regulation of the banks, he will accomplish what Obama/Biden never succeeded in doing – moving the United States into socialism on the road to full-blown communism. To stop this onslaught, tell the American people the truth. Recommend that they read Karl Marx and his Communist Manifesto. Also, teach the students about communism before it’s too late. *Cliff Kincaid is president of America’s Survival, Inc. www.usasurvival.org SWORD vs UMBRELLA
By Karen McKay LTC USAR (Ret.) Something really peculiar is going on right now—or rather, it would have been peculiar ten years ago. Democrats are enthusiastically supporting a foreign war in which the US is involved. Republicans and Conservatives are divided for and against the war. The aggressor the Democrats are opposing is Vladimir Putin of Russia. Peculiar because historically, Democrats adore Russia/USSR and Marxism to the point of worship. Democrats had an historic love affair with the Soviet Union/Russia—FDR was in a mutual admiration society with Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini until Hitler invaded Poland. The New York Times covered up the Holocaust and Stalin’s liquidation of the Ukrainian people by famine and the murder of more millions of his own subjects. FDR agreed to Stalin’s demands for the divvying up of post-war Europe. Bill Clinton suckled at the breast of the Russian Bear. His wife pandered to the new Russia with her silly “reset” button stolen from a hotel hot tub. They smiled indulgently when Russia crushed Chechnya and Georgia, seized Crimea, and occupied eastern Ukraine. But when the Democrats convinced themselves that Putin had gotten Trump elected, well...hell hath no fury like a Democrat scorned. Now Russia is the enemy. So when Putin invaded Ukraine, it became Gog & Magog vs Zelensky the white knight, the Messianic savior of all that is pure (Democrats are usually a bit confused about theology.) Ergo, Democrats must now be anti-Russian and pro-Ukraine. Ergo, Republicans and Conservatives—at least some of them—must be anti-Ukraine, if not pro-Russia. Newton’s Third Law of Motion in action. Let’s consider the arguments against and for supporting Ukraine in its war of resistance against Russian aggression without the knee jerk. My mostly shorthand responses are going to require you to do some homework if you don’t know the history—and that will be good. You will learn much more than I’d have room to write with the space limits of this publication. 1. UKRAINE IS CORRUPT! For corruption I need look no further than our own government. We need to clean up our own house before we condemn someone else—something about living in a glass house… Communism breeds corruption wherever it’s tried. Ukraine has a legacy of Soviet occupation. Zelensky was elected on a promise to clean up the Ukrainian swamp. Biden bragged on video before the Council on Foreign Relations that as Vice-President he forced the then Ukrainian president to fire an honest prosecutor investigating his son Hunter’s criminal dealings. I am not willing to condemn any former captive nation to slavery again because I judge them to be impure. 2. UKRAINE CAN’T WIN! RUSSIA IS TOO BIG AND POWERFUL! ITS POPULATION IS MANY TIMES BIGGER, IT’S VASTLY WEALTHIER, IT HAS A HUGER ARMY! Finland. Afghanistan. 3. UKRAINE MUST ACCEPT A NEGOTIATED SETTLEMENT THAT GIVES THOSE PARTS OF ITS COUNTRY WITH A LARGE ETHNIC RUSSIAN POPULATIONS TO RUSSIA—THEN THERE WILL BE PEACE! There’s a word for this: Appeasement. Remember Sudetenland and the 1938 Munich Agreement? Remember Neville Chamberlain with his umbrella? “...peace with honour...peace for our time?” Remember Czechoslovakia? It had treaties with France and the USSR, and expected their allies, including Great Britain, to defend them from Hitler. They did not. Rather arrogant of us to demand that Ukraine sacrifice more parts of their country so we can feel nobly superior when they are bleeding and dying to save their nation. We might also remember why there are large Russian populations in former captive nations. It was called forced “population exchanges.” P.S. The same population ethnicity argument could be made about Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California. 4. THE UNITED STATES HAS NO NATIONAL INTERESTS IN UKRAINE! IT DOESN’T CONCERN US! That is exactly what American pacifists and isolationists said when Hitler annexed Austria and Czechoslovakia. 5. UKRAINE IS NOT A NATO COUNTRY. WE HAVE NO BUSINESS THERE. Kosovo was not a NATO country, either. Nor were Serbia or Montenegro. 6. THERE IS NO THREAT TO US FROM THE RUSSIAN WAR AGAINST UKRAINE! Remember Black Hawk Down? There was no threat to us from Somalia, either—and it was also not a NATO country. 7. WE’RE ALREADY 32 TRILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT! WE CAN’T AFFORD TO SUPPORT UKRAINE! And just WHY are we $32T in debt? It’s not because of Ukraine, nor our defense budget, nor fighting just wars. Abandoning Ukraine to its fate will not pour that “saved” money back into the US treasury. If budgetary concerns are the primary argument for Russia’s conquest of its former captive nation, allow me to point out that it is far cheaper to help Ukraine stay free than waiting to join a new world war to stop Russia’s continued expansion. Think WWII. Hitler could have been stopped before he took a single neighboring country. We waited until he had taken most of Europe, the Balkans, and most of North Africa. We could have stopped Tojo on the doorstep of China. We waited until Pearl Harbor. What did that delay ultimately cost in blood and treasure? No cash—not a dime--should be going to Ukraine. We have no business giving Ukrainians walking-around money as Biden just promised, or paying their social security and pensions. Or cash to most countries we aid. Even without criminal intent, God knows how many millions of $US cash have disappeared, particularly in any war zone. As it is, many Third World kleptocrats steal our material aid—say, rice--sell it and pocket the money. Provide Ukraine with all the armaments, all the weapons platforms, all the materiel they need—that they ask for, not what we think they need. They can pay us back when they are again free and prospering. Congress needs to do a forensic audit of the billions of dollars in cash that Biden is sending to Ukraine—follow money trails going back to Biden’s vice-presidency and his Congressional career, see if and how it is being laundered right back to the Biden Crime Family Syndicate, and who is facilitating it along the way. And then there should be hell to pay. 8. WE’RE DEPLETING OUR ARMAMENTS BY GIVING THEM TO UKRAINE! This is on the Biden Administration and Putin, not Ukraine. Why aren’t we replacing—and upgrading--our war inventory? Why is Biden draining our Strategic Oil Reserve? It’s not to support Ukraine. FDR put America on a war footing by starting the Lend-Lease program in 1940 to supply Great Britain and the USSR with armaments. Ramping up industry to build tanks, war planes, ships and guns ended the Depression by putting millions to work and kept our two primary allies-to-be alive until America entered the war. It also ensured that our own war machine hit the ground running when we did join in. To further prepare for war, US military personnel were permitted to join the Canadian, UK and Chinese air forces until the US got in. When the Lend-Lease Act was passed by Congress in March 1941, it was largely down party lines—the majority of Democrats voted for it, the majority of Republicans against. It appears that Republicans have not always been the “warmongers.” Unlike Roosevelt, Biden is pissing away our assets and reserves with no plans for replenishment. He is depleting our armaments inventory and weakening the US. General Omar Bradley complained after Truman’s catastrophic drawdown of the military at the end of WWII that we “could not fight our way out of a paper bag.” We’re about there now. In my Cold Warrior days, our doctrine was to be prepared to fight a 2.5 front war—we’re at the 0.5 front readiness status now and declining. Machiavelli warned about a nation allowing its swords to become dull. We will soon find ourselves holding a hilt without a blade. The solution is not to let Putin have resource-rich Ukraine —it’s to restore and maintain our own military readiness. 9. RUSSIA NEEDS A SECURITY BUFFER BETWEEN ITSELF AND NATO! Russia’s need for secure borders is like the universe—ever-expanding. Putin has just canceled Russian recognition of the sovereignty of another captive nation, Moldova. If the objection to Ukraine joining NATO is that Russia does not want a NATO country on its border, then Russia has a problem now. There are already five NATO countries bordering Russia. If Ukraine loses, then Russia will have even more NATO countries on its border. 10. PUTIN IS THREATENING TO USE NUKES! Blackmail. Either he will or he won’t. Cowering in fear, self-flagellation, appeasement—not gong to help one way or the other. Bullies only fear and respect strength, and the courage to use it. Further thoughts: In the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, the US, UK and Russia guaranteed Ukrainian security if it disarmed. It did. As 1945 should have taught us, the Soviets/Russians have different definitions of honor and security from ours. The United States put our occupied half of Europe back on its feet and grew it as free societies after WWII. Stalin enslaved his half and then kept expanding his empire. Following the collapse of the USSR, captive nations seized their independence and began to thrive as free, capitalistic democracies. Putin is trying to rebuild the empire built by the czars and then the Communists. He’s already invaded Georgia, Crimea, Chechnya, and taken eastern parts of Ukraine—Belarus is for all practical purposes a vassal state on the chopping block. Now the Ukrainians are demonstrating that they are willing to fight and sacrifice for their freedom. We are obligated by the Budapest Memorandum to protect Ukraine's independence-- we failed that guarantee when Russia took Crimea and the eastern part of Ukraine. Thomas Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Lyndon Baines Johnson all campaigned on the promise that they were “not going to send your boys to war.” Ukraine asks only for the tools of war—they do not want US troops. This was the Reagan doctrine—give people the tools and training they need to secure their own freedom. Ukraine is fighting the war that we old Cold Warriors spent our lives preparing for. Russia is not a rotting corpse. It is not without resources and design. The United States has been paying Russia to take our Astronauts to the Space Station, after all—thank you, Barack Obama. Russia is threatening Israel over Iran. Russia, thanks to Hillary Clinton, is mining American uranium. Russian military aircraft and vessels still violate our and other countries’ territory. Russia still throws its weight around at the UN. Russia still spies on the US. Russian cyber attacks threaten our critical infrastructure. Russia meddles in our elections. NATO is at least slowly waking up to the threat. Trump was absolutely right in pressuring NATO countries to meet their obligations according to the Charter. They ought to be carrying the load of supporting Ukraine, but then, they ought to have been carrying the load for their own defense readiness since the end of WWII. The United States has foolishly allowed most of the world to panhandle the American taxpayer, draining our coffers through the UN and countless aid programs all over the globe. Ukraine is the battle laboratory that the Spanish Civil War and the little known but bloody Second Nagorno-Karabakh War were--a field test of weapons and tactics. More, the war in Ukraine exposing and bleeding Putin’s Russia, which is good. Colonel R.D. Hooker in his February 2023 ARMY magazine article “Glimpse Future in Ukraine” lays it all out: “The Russian invasion of Ukraine represents large-scale, multidomain, high-intensity warfare unlike any ever seen before.” Ronald Reagan brought the Soviet Union to its knees. Subsequent US presidents helped the Russian bear get back up again. Warning: ...When he stands up like a tired man, tottering near and near; When he stands up as pleading, in wavering, man-brute guise, When he veils the hate and cunning of his little, swinish eyes; "When he shows as seeking quarter, with paws like hands in prayer That is the time of peril -- the time of the Truce of the Bear!" ..."There is no truce with Adam-zad, the Bear that looks like a Man!" (Kipling, "The Truce of the Bear”) ***************** ![]() The Five Stooges on Capitol Hill By Cliff Kincaid In a hearing supposedly addressing global threats, Democratic Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon demanded to know why the Intelligence Community wasn’t hiring more potheads. It went downhill from there. The head honcho, Avril Haines, director of National Intelligence, declared the Intelligence Community was open to potheads, as long as, presumably, they weren’t smoking on the job. And you wonder why the Intelligence Community can’t figure out where COVID-19 came from? Thanks to billionaires George Soros and Mark Zuckerberg, Oregon has decriminalized LSD, cocaine and heroin. Perhaps Wyden wants the use of psychedelics to be permitted by intelligence analysts. Perhaps the intelligence product will then improve. But don’t worry: there is a bipartisan consensus that a popular Chinese-sponsored app known as TikTok should be banned. TikTok gathers intelligence the same way Google does. And Google’s YouTube competes with TikTok. Our top intelligence people claim TikTok serves the interests of the Chinese Communist Party. Well, YouTube terminated my account a year ago because I offered people free anti-communist videos. All of my 500 videos were taken down in violation of “community guidelines.” So from my perspective, they serve the same masters. One is no better or worse than the other. The difference is that TikTok is popular with teenagers. By outlawing TikTok, however, Google will benefit. We hear a lot about parental rights and responsibilities these days. They should monitor their kids. Why should the federal government do what parents should be doing in the first place? Why have “conservatives” joined with Big Government liberals in a campaign to ban this app? This whole TikTok brouhaha is an effort by Google to eliminate competition. In regard to China, Haines ruled out COVID-19 being a bioweapon, but said the intelligence agencies under her jurisdiction couldn’t decide on the lab leak theory versus infected animals being the source. Why has the Intelligence Community ruled out COVID being a bioweapon? Nobody disputes the fact that China has a bioweapons program. The lab leak theory, now the most popular, seems designed to get U.S. officials off the hook, since they financed the experiments in the Wuhan lab. They can’t be held accountable if it was just a lab “accident.” The lesson I took from this snippet of the hearing was that the Intelligence Community isn’t very intelligent. Perhaps there are too many potheads on the payroll already. The pro-pot publication Marijuana Moment found the Haines testimony very significant. It reported, “A top U.S. intelligence official reaffirmed on Wednesday that it is not the federal government’s current policy to deny people security clearances based on past marijuana use alone, stating that it is counterproductive to recruitment efforts, especially amid the growing legalization movement.” There are apparently so many potheads in America that we can’t do without them in sensitive positions. Barack Hussein Obama was a trailblazer in this respect, having won the presidency despite a record of heavy marijuana use in the “Choom Gang.” In addition to Haines, the witnesses at the hearing were William J. Burns of the Central Intelligence Agency, Lieutenant General Scott D. Berrier of the Defense Intelligence Agency, General Paul Nakasone of the National Security Agency, and Christopher Wray of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In disgust, after watching the exchange about potheads, I turned the channel on my Smart TV and found colorized episodes of “The Three Stooges” on Prime Video. The episode, “Disorder in the Court,” was hilarious. I came to the conclusion that the five witnesses at the Senate hearing delivering commentary on the “2023 Annual Threat Assessment of the U.S. Intelligence Community” were themselves stooges. When a top intelligence official talks about hiring potheads, you know we’re in deep trouble. FBI director Wray referred to the release of COVID as an “incident,” rather than an accident. This made the talking heads almost breathless. What did he mean? It’s more gobbledygook from Wray. Fortunately, the hearing took a serious tone when Senator Tom Cotton wondered why the “threat assessment” report on page 33 referred to “Transnational RMVEs,” or racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, posing “the most lethal threat to U.S. persons and interests…” Cotton considered Haines to be a clown. “Are you serious?” Cotton asked. When he asked how many people in the U.S. were killed by RMVEs last year, she didn’t know. She agreed, however, with Cotton’s point that fentanyl was killing as many as 100,000 Americans a year. This seems to be a lethal threat. Later, Haines was unable to identity the “populist parties” her report identified as threats. The assessment declared, “Western Hemisphere-based TCOs [Transnational Organized Crime groups] involved in illicit drug production and trafficking bound for the United States endanger the health and safety of millions of U.S. citizens and drive crime and corruption. U.S. law enforcement is seizing increased quantities of fentanyl, and the majority of the more than 100,000 annual deaths from drug overdoses in the United States stem from fentanyl.” It goes on to say, “Mexican TCOs obtain the majority of precursor chemicals needed to produce fentanyl from China through mostly Chinese and Mexican chemical brokers and are able to circumvent international controls through mislabeled shipments and buying unregulated dual-use chemicals.” Now consider this: if China is deliberately suppyling the chemicals the Mexican TCOs use to make fentanyl, why is Haines so afraid to conclude that COVID-19 was deliberately and intentionally released to cause death and destruction to people and economies, especially ours? Incredibly, when Senator John Cornyn reiterated that China continues to supply the chemicals to the Mexican cartels which make the fentanyl for export to the U.S., Haines said the Intelligence Community needed a deeper “bench” of analysts to understand the problem. These people are stooges and clowns. Perhaps a new crop of pothead employees will do the trick. None of the five stooges was willing to admit Communist China is at war with the United States and that we need to be on high alert or a war footing. Under pressure from Senator Wyden, who has made drug legalization into his signature issue, we can anticipate that the guidance on potheads and other drug abusers getting security clearances will be liberalized even more in the future. Considering the flawed nature of the intelligence “product” put on the record for the Senate hearing, it’s difficult to conclude our defenses against foreign agents and spies getting government jobs can get much worse. So why not hire more dopers? And don’t worry about the Chinese alliance with the Mexican cartels. Worry instead about the “racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists.” You know who they are. They are your neighbors and friends. They are Americans. They are you.
![]() Is DeSantis Ready for Prime Time? By Cliff Kincaid Potential 2024 presidential candidate Ron DeSantis has been a good governor, but with global conflict on the rise, what experience does he have on foreign policy? Since the answer is none, how can he be a viable 2024 Republican presidential candidate? With such a void, his comments make news. A Reuters dispatch claimed that DeSantis asserted on the Fox News Channel “that Russia does not pose a threat to Europe and that Biden should be focusing more on China.” If this is what he really said, he is not qualified for the presidency. Fox News reported the governor as saying, “They [members of the Biden Administration] have effectively a blank-check policy [on Ukraine] with no clear, strategic objective identified, and these things can escalate, and I don't think it's in our interests to be getting into a proxy war with China, getting involved over things like the borderlands or over Crimea.” Crimea was part of Ukraine and seized by Russia. Does he favor the liberation of Crimea? Or not? DeSantis was also quoted as saying, “So I think it would behoove them to identify what is the strategic objective that they're trying to achieve, but just saying it's an open-ended blank check, that is not acceptable.” But what does DeSantis propose? If he doesn’t favor the no-win strategy of Joe Biden, would he supply better weapons to Ukraine? His comments included this quotation: “I don’t think that they [Russia] are the same threat to our country, even though they’re hostile. I don’t think they’re on the same level as a China.” On what basis does he make this claim? Russia has invaded another country in Europe and has more nuclear weapons than China. What’s more, Russia has infiltrated our FBI, as proven by the phony Steele dossier that was written in Moscow and used by the FBI to destroy former President Trump. How does DeSantis propose to weed out the Russian agents in the American intelligence establishment? What DeSantis does not seem to understand is that the fall of the old Soviet Union was a deception, arranged by authorities in Moscow to confuse the West about changes in the Soviet Union and now Russia. A Soviet KGB defector by the name of Anatoliy Golitsyn wrote two books, New Lies For Old, and Perestroika Deception, trying to alert the American intelligence community and the American people to the plot. James Jesus Angleton, former head of counterintelligence for the Central Intelligence Agency, had taken Golitsyn’s allegations very seriously and this search eventually led to uncovering such notorious characters as FBI counterintelligence special agent Robert P. Hannsen, a Soviet/Russian mole inside the bureau. His record of treason spanned 22 years, from 1979 to 2001. Robert S. Mueller, the Russia-gate special counsel, became FBI director after Hannsen was caught. But Mueller then failed to reform the bureau to catch future spies. Golitsyn’s charges had been ridiculed as a fantastic “Monster Plot” by skeptical CIA officials who thought the KGB incapable of planning and carrying out such a plan. Now we know better. Still, the disinformation persists, especially among so-called “conservatives” in the orbit of Tucker Carson and Stephen K. Bannon. Neil Patel, co-founder with Tucker Carlson of The Daily Caller, insists that “…the American and European response to Russia’s Ukraine incursion has driven Russia and China closer together. He says “…the current strategy is drawing China and Russia closer together.” In fact, they have been strong allies since a Russian operative, Grigori Naumovich Voitinsky, actually founded the Chinese Communist Party. Our 2014 book, Back from the Dead: The Return of the Evil Empire, points out that Russia then had a strategic partnership with Communist China going back decades. Back in 2007, for example, Russia and China conducted an eight-day military exercise, “Peace Mission 2007,” with other members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. (Iran is an observer state.) It doesn’t get much closer than that. And yet, Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping have gone beyond that, declaring a “no limits” partnership weeks before the invasion of Ukraine. China’s new “Position on the Political Settlement of the Ukraine Crisis” doesn’t call the Russian aggression an “invasion” and doesn’t call for a Russian withdrawal. But it calls for an end to U.S. sanctions against Russia over the invasion. Equally ominous, on the eve of the first anniversary of the Russian war on Ukraine, the government of South Africa, which receives billions of dollars in U.S. foreign aid, joined Russia and China in military drills together. This is not too surprising, since South Africa went communist under pressure from the West. But our policymakers would prefer treating the communist regime in South Africa as a shining example of black majority rule. DeSantis needs to understand that Russia and China are, to this day, members of the world communist movement. The role of Russia is confusing to some, since Russia has moved into a different phase of communist revolution, having neglected the capitalist stage of development outlined by Karl Marx, and is now trying to reclaim certain nationalistic tendencies offensive to liberals in the West in order to rally its dispirited and demoralized populace. China, on the other hand, has managed to fool the West into financing its capitalist stage of development on the road to world communism. If DeSantis wants to be taken seriously on global affairs, he has to articulate why China and Russia both pose a threat to America and the world. He could begin by countering the communist propaganda that the expansion of NATO membership to countries on Russia’s border somehow provoked the Russians. In fact, the Budapest Memorandum of 1994, brokered by President Bill Clinton, included Russia’s promise to respect the territorial integrity of Ukraine, in exchange for sending its nuclear arsenal back to Moscow. Russia violated that agreement, leading to invasions of Ukraine in 2014 under Obama and Biden in 2022. Ukraine is not a member of NATO but has every right to join. Poland, an anti-communist nation, certainly is a NATO member. By supporting Ukraine, we support Poland and other nations, including the Republic of China on Taiwan and South Korea, always in danger of communist aggression. DeSantis should understand that former President Reagan would never hesitate about addressing the communist threat. At the same time, as governor of Florida, a state full of refugees from communism, DeSantis should understand that the crisis stems in part from communist advances in the Western hemisphere. The background is that, after Obama Secretary of State John Kerry declared in 2013 that the Monroe Doctrine was dead, Vladimir Putin traveled to Brazil, Argentina, Nicaragua and Cuba. This wasn’t an accident. The Obama administration was inviting aggression against the U.S. and the invasion through the southern border. The Monroe Doctrine was supposed to protect U.S. national security interests in the Western hemisphere by prohibiting foreign meddling in America’s backyard. Since then, the situation has deteriorated. Considering these facts, how does DeSantis play down the threat posed by Vladimir Putin? It makes no sense. With an Emerson College survey in January finding Trump with a 26-point edge over DeSantis, 55%-29%, the Florida governor has a lot of ground to make up. Making gaffes and sounding incoherent on foreign policy won’t help.
![]() (Photo source: the Kremlin) Phonies on the World Stage By Cliff Kincaid We have learned that Joe Biden’s “unannounced” visit to Ukraine was actually announced to the Kremlin in advance. In other words, his “historic” visit was approved by Vladimir Putin. Meanwhile, playing the role of Christian statesman, Putin quoted scripture in his presidential address the other day. Amazingly, some Americans are fooled by the rhetoric on both sides. Joe Biden is not standing up to Russia and has not shown any desire to give the people of Ukraine the weapons they need to win. His visit to Ukraine was a show, and nothing more. But Putin’s attempt to sound like a Christian statesman also falls flat. As Fred Schwarz of the Christian Anti-Communist Crusade used to say, “You can trust the communists to be communists.” The “sacred texts” of the Bible are now being questioned, the “former” communist and KGB operative said. The Anglican Church, he noted, “is planning, just planning, to explore the idea of a gender-neutral god. What is there to say? Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Except for the somewhat misleading headline, “The Ukraine war has drawn North Korea back into Moscow’s political orbit,” this article by Benjamin R. Young sheds more light on the communist nature of the Vladimir Putin regime in Russia. The article from North Korea News reminds us of the fact that the communist world remains united against America and that Putin still counts the North Korean communist dictator as a close ally. The author, Benjamin R. Young, is an Assistant Professor of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness at Virginia Commonwealth University. “North Korea has not only rhetorically supported Moscow’s invasion but materially helped the Russian war machine in Ukraine with military assistance,” he notes. If Putin were truly a Christian leader, he would totally disavow the communist criminals who run North Korea. Instead, he asks for their support and praises their lunatic communist dictator and his illegal nuclear weapons program He supports Iranian pursuit of a nuclear bomb to destroy Israel. The author cites North Korea’s “comrades” in Moscow, an accurate term considering that Putin was a former KGB colonel. But North Korea (DPRK) never left Moscow’s political orbit. The article includes a photo of Putin singing the praises of the North Korean dictator at a state dinner in 2019. It’s one of many photos from that event distributed by the Kremlin itself. Young writes, “Russian political philosopher Alexander Dugin, sometimes described as Vladimir Putin’s ‘brain,’ has long voiced approval for the DPRK’s ‘mode of development’ that stands in opposition to Western liberalism and globalization. And ultra-nationalist organizations and activists in Russia now openly celebrate Pyongyang’s anti-Western and militant stances.” We were the first to document Dugin’s influence in our 2014 book, Back from the Dead: The Return of the Evil Empire. Here in the United States, as we saw in the February 19 pro-Putin rally in D.C., the Russians have been able to manipulate conservative and libertarian groups. But on March 18, the out-of-the-closet communist groups will turn out for Putin, North Korea, and other communist states. It’s called the “National March on Washington: Peace in Ukraine – Stop NATO” demonstration. It's a clever strategy because Russia benefits from perceived support on the right and the left. In reference to the March 18 event, consider the involvement of the Workers World Party, an openly Marxist-Leninist party. It has a front, the ANSWER Coalition, and supports regimes in Russia and North Korea. Yet, the FBI doesn’t monitor the group. The much-maligned House Committee on Un-American Activities, known as HCUA, had uncovered dramatic communist infiltration of Hollywood and forced the studios to clean house. Then-Rep. Steve King (R-IA) had expressed agreement with my suggestion at that time that re-establishment of such a committee would be a good idea. “I think that is a good process and I would support it,” he said. The HCUA was succeeded by the House Internal Security Committee, which published “The Workers World Party and Its Front Organizations” in 1974. After that, liberals forced the committee to go out of business. Donald I. Sweany, Jr., a research analyst for the House Committee on Un-American Activities and its successor, the House Committee on Internal Security, saw the need for such a committee and issued this statement: “The re-creation of the House Committee on Internal Security will provide the Congress of the United States, Executive Branch agencies and the public with essential and actionable information concerning the dangerous and sovereignty-threatening subversive activities currently plaguing America. This subversion emulates from a host of old and new entities of Marxist/Communist revolutionary organizations and allied militant and radical groups, some of which have foreign connections. A new mandated House Committee on Internal Security is of great importance because it would once again recommend to Congress remedial legislative action to crack down on any un-American forces whose goals are to weaken and destroy the freedoms which America enjoys under the Constitution. In addition, this legislative process will provide public exposure of such subversives.” The FBI should have been probing U.S.-based Marxist groups all along. Instead, it focused its energies on former President Trump. To cite one example, America’s internal security has broken down to such an extent that Joe Biden, himself compromised by his son’s ties to China and Russia, nominated Lenin scholar Saule Omarova to be U.S. Comptroller of the Currency. Even with the suffering of the people of Ukraine, and the evidence of a China-Russia-North Korea-Iran alliance against America, Biden felt the need to let Russia know in advance of his visit to the “war zone.” It’s sad to see some supporters of Ukraine falling for this phony display of “toughness” on Biden’s part. Deep in his heart he is still committed to the “New World Order” he wrote about in the Wall Street Journal. It’s Biden, not Trump, we should be worried about in regard to Ukraine. After all, Biden is president and his “slow-walking” of weapons to Ukraine seems designed to force the government to negotiate with Putin. The Republicans who just traveled to Ukraine have the right approach, demanding long-range missiles and F-16 war planes for Ukraine. Even the left-wing actor Sean Penn has been enlightened, after visiting the war zone (without Putin’s approval), saying the U.S. (i.e. Joe Biden) has to accept “a level of shame” for not helping Ukraine with weapons more quickly. It is equally strange for me to see the commentaries and blog posts from various “conservatives” like Tucker Carlson demanding the right to keep and bear arms in America while insisting that the people of Ukraine surrender to Putin and his comrades. Self-defense is a natural right for individuals and nations. But just like America in our Revolutionary War, the forces of freedom need the support of their friends. Both the left and the right in America, despite the political differences, should be able to recognize the savage brutality of Putin’s communist war on Ukraine. It’s frustrating that we still have to debate this topic a year into this brutal demonstration of Putin’s communist mentality. Putin is even more of a phony than Joe Biden. While Biden is doing enormous damage, Putin’s real war is a serious danger that threatens the entire world.
![]() Dear Friends: In promoting his "Rage Against the War Machine" rally, Tucker said it would feature "normal, decent, clear-thinking people." I beg to differ. Did you watch it? Russian and Communist flags. A lot of profanity. A clown show. On a serious note, Scott Ritter was invited and then pulled out. Here's what the Libertarian Party said: Scott Ritter is not a Libertarian, and we would prefer that he stay home from the rally as he originally proposed when event coordinators first confronted him about his criminal history. Libertarians hold as sacrosanct the rights of children to be free from abuse; his criminal convictions are despicable and contradict our values. In addition to his crimes, over the weekend he declared that he is not anti-war which directly contradicts the purpose of the rally. We think this event would be more successful without his involvement, and your support for true anti-war activists will ensure their message is elevated to ring loudest and clearest in Washington. Ritter seems to support the Russian war machine. His sex offences were unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and indecent exposure. Tucker's guest Tara Reade said, "It would be my honor to stand with [Scott Ritter] Scott is a heroic anti war voice. I look forward to being there with all the speakers." Just stop funding Ukraine and the war will end, Tucker told us. Yes, on Moscow's terms. His associate, Fox News contributor two-faced Tulsi Gabbard, spoke to the crowd. As I noted in a column, "On March 19, 2020, then-Rep. Tulsi Gabbard dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed Joe Biden for president. Now she is a paid contributor on Fox News lecturing the public about 'integrity' in politics." What a disgrace for Fox News. If Tucker thought it was going to be so great, why didn't he show up to speak? Fox News has become Russia Today television. How can any responsible conservative ever go on Tucker's show again? He has become a laughing stock. For America's Survival, Cliff Kincaid ![]() Fire Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon By Cliff Kincaid When CNN’s Don Lemon sounded like a sexist, the Rupert Murdoch media empire, including Fox News and the New York Post, urged his firing. Meanwhile, a Fox News personality, Tucker Carlson, who attracts New York Post journalists on his show, is being permitted to shill for Russia’s KGB dictator and denigrate the fight for freedom in Ukraine. Tucker is doing far more damage than Lemon could ever do. Contrast Tucker’s love affair with Putin to Joshua Jones, a 24-year-old from Memphis, Tennessee, who traveled to fight with Ukraine against the Russian invaders. “My son believed in the fight,” Joshua’s father Jeffrey Jones said. “He believed that their Russian aggression against a freedom-loving people was worth the sacrifice.” A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was killed by the Russians and died on the battlefield of Ukraine in August of last year. Local station ABC24 reported, “Initially joining the Norman Brigade, a group of foreign fighters fighting on the side of Ukraine, he was nicknamed ‘Tactical Jesus’ for his long hair, beard, and devout Christian faith.” “His faith was amazing,” his mother told CNN. His remains and personal effects, including a Christian cross, were returned. Today, patches and stencils with Joshua’s image are being worn by soldiers and even being placed on captured Russian war equipment. At a memorial service, Ukrainian Armed Forces Major Gusovskyy said about Jones, “He was a true warrior and he was exemplary and he was sure about what he was doing.” Major Gusovskyy was interviewed by Jacqui Heinrich on Fox News on Saturday, where he paid tribute to Joshua Jones. But the night before, Tucker Carlson was promoting the pro-Putin “Rage Against the War Machine” rally scheduled for D.C. on Sunday. Tucker is sounding like the Fox News version of RT or Russia Today, a “news” outlet financed by the Kremlin and called KGB-TV by its critics. “President Putin has an alluring combination of strength with gentleness,” said Tara Reade, the guest on Tucker’s show. Several speakers at the rally have documented ties to RT. You may remember that Reade is the woman who accused Joe Biden of a sexual assault. It turns out she is having a love affair, of a plutonic nature, with Vladimir Putin. Suddenly she has become an expert on foreign affairs. Fox described her appearance this way: “Author Tara Reade gives her reasoning for attending an anti-war rally in Washington, DC this weekend on Tucker Carlson Tonight.” In fact, she went on an anti-American diatribe, denouncing U.S. imperialism, the defensive NATO alliance, and aid to Ukraine. “We want peace,” she said. “No more endless war,” she added. Tucker nodded in agreement, saying about her perspective, “We’re proud to air it.” Her perspective – that the U.S. should ignore Russian aggression – ignores the fact that the war was started by Putin, with the first invasion launched under Barack Hussein Obama. After President Clinton negotiated a “Budapest Memorandum” that sent Ukraine’s nuclear weapons back to Moscow, in exchange for Russia’s promise to respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity, the Russians knew they could get away with murder. Ignoring this fact, Tucker allowed Reade to claim there was a “kill list” of opponents of aid to Ukraine that turned out to be a list of politicians, academics, and activists promoting Russian propaganda. It reportedly included former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, now a Fox News contributor. Looking back, we can see that Donald J. Trump turned out not to be the Russian agent portrayed by his political enemies. But Tucker and other “conservatives,” such as Stephen K. Bannon, seem to be auditioning for the role. They want to abandon Ukraine. Tragically, however, the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., has demonstrated that he is not like his father. Referring to the Palestine, Ohio, nightmare, he says, “Not one more cent for Ukraine till Americans get the care that they deserve and desperately need. Enough is enough of this insanity.” With this statement, he sounds just as stupid as Tucker. It doesn’t make any sense to punish Ukraine for the sins of the Biden Administration here at home. The true spirit of America was exemplified by Joshua Jones, who served his country AND died for freedom in Ukraine. It reminds me of the foreign support America received, especially from France, in our successful fight for independence. To cite another example, Poland, said to be Putin’s next target in Europe, helped the American revolution succeed. “The signs of this friendship stand in our nation’s capital,” President Trump declared in his speech to the Polish people. “Just steps from the White House, we’ve raised statues of men with names like Pułaski and Kościuszko. (Applause.) The same is true in Warsaw, where street signs carry the name of George Washington, and a monument stands to one of the world’s greatest heroes, Ronald Reagan. (Applause.)” Polish nobleman Casimir Pulaski was a brigadier general in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. Polish freedom fighter Thaddeus Kosciuszko was a military engineer who designed fortifications during the American Revolution. Thomas Jefferson called him “As pure a son of liberty, as I have ever known…” One of George Washington’s famous quotes was that the new nation should avoid entangling alliances with other countries. At the same time, he realized that without the support of other nations, America would not exist. Present-day “conservatives” like Tucker and Bannon ignore the foreign role in America’s revolution and break with the Reagan doctrine of support for anti-communist freedom fighters, while demanding that America cease its aid to the people of Ukraine. They are betraying the spirit of America. Regarding Don Lemon and Tucker Carlson, fire them both. Let’s move on from these poor excuses for American journalism. *Cliff Kincaid is president of America’s Survival, Inc. www.usasurvival.org |
